Geographical
It is mostly a Sand loamy, Clay loamy Soil with deposits of Lime Stone, Clay minerals, coal , Oil and Gas Reserves
Best State in terms of forest cover mainly Bamboo Trees with 14% contribution of National Bamboo Stock under National Bamboo Mission.
Economy
GSDP of 26502 cr. in 2019-2020 19% increase compared to previous year, with a CAGR of 13.5%.
Per Capita GSDP of 2,09,920 in the year 2019-2020.
GSVA with 12.6% growth, with Tertiary Sector (Service Sector) contributing 43.2%, Industry Sector (less industries) contributing 30% and Agricultural, allied sectors contributing on 26% though most of the people depend on Agriculture.
Agriculture
Oil seeds , Sugarcane, Paddy, Pulses, Potato. Though being high literacy rate, Aged and Uneducated farmer follow Ecological Unsustainable traditional farming~ Shifting Cultivation~Jhummjng~ Slash and burn farming which results in Soil heath depletion, less farm mechanisation.
Through Mision Organic Value Chain Development- Organic farming is being introduced by Krishi Vikas Kendras. Farmer Producing Organizations and Farmer Organization Companies are formed.
MOVCD aims at replacing the traditional farming with market oriented farming following approach for high valued crops like Tumeric, chillies, ginger and tea
NFSM - National Food Security Mission- aims at cultivating Tree Borne Oil Seeds
Horticulture- Cultivating Fruits like Mandarin Orange , Dragon Fruits and exporting them.
Bird's Eye Chilli has GI (geographical indication) Tag.

Energy Requirement in state 536MU in 2019-20. Installed Power generation capacity 213MW, Hydropower generation capacity of 98MW, Thermal Power generation capacity of 72MW and renewable energy capacity of 45MW.

The hills , rivers, bamboo forests flora and fauna attract the tourists.
